Hi all! Long time no see! I just wanted to let my fellow SY fans here in Chicago know that I'll be fronting my power trio, The Sam Saunders Machine, Friday night at Elbo Room. It's a four band bill and we play third. Other acts appearing include Dan Arrecis, Soundframe and Ava Raiders. We'll be debuting some brand new songs along with some tunes from my solo CD, all featuring our unique brand of high energy power pop and acid rock inspired improvisations. Showtime's 9:00 pm. We'll be playing at 11:15. Elbo Room is located at 2871 N. Lincoln Ave. This is one of the hottest bills of the month! I hope to see some of you there! :)

wooha, i took part in this emergenza contest with the band i play bass for and we ended up winning the damn thing, out of seven bands, pretty nice that we'll be able to play again at those semifinals, are there other peeps on this board whose band is with emergenza ?

I'm in a band called Glass, it's experimental sort of stuff, but I think it's pretty cool. I play Electric Guitar, Drums, Electric Bass Guitar, Accordion, Harmonica, Xylophone, and Percussion in it, and I make sound effects and electronic beats for it. My friend Rey also contributes his voice to a few songs, as well as some additional effects manipulation and percussion, and my friend Joe Figueroa contributes Electric Bass Guitar, but he's not on any tracks that are online yet.
