![]() Lou Barlow has a new band, they released two songs today on their bandcamp It's together with Eat Fire Spring who I don't know Then I saw this: ![]() one hundred and eighty three Lou Barlow songs !!!!! holy cow, that will be an overdose, and I usually never pay for digital releases but I'm still tempted on paying for it. It's got some cool versions of known songs and some unknowns too. and earlier in the week: a lot of live sets from Sam Shalabi's Land Of Kush. Don't like all of it, but some is very cool. and some late nineties albums of The Ex! |

Kush? As in pot? Goddammit, why does everything have to involve weed, man. I live on the third floor of a building; every single freakin' time the people on the first floor do ANYTHING they smoke weed and even with my windows closed they stink up my whole apartment. Fucking stoners, dude... |

Ian Ilavsky - CST 25th Anniversary Retrospective Mix [June 2022]
by Constellation | cstrecords.com Quote:
pity that mixcloud site is not very specific about the exact tracklistings of their mixes ... Also: ![]() The new Mono doesn't really sound like Mono, it's a soundtrack. Have to listen to it some more Positive note, it doesn't feature any drums on most tracks, I really don't like their new drummer |

![]() ![]() Two new superb tunes by McCaslin and his band of Blackstar cats. Produced by Dave Fridmann! New album coming next year. |

Hey, why aren't you effers posting what you're listening to? This is one thread that shouldn't be neglected. Do it, goddammit.
|
well alrighty then
![]() I adore Soak when they perform solo, as can be found on youtube in several sessions such as on the Tiny Desk. But their albums where they plays with a full band don't do much for me (sorry). This is the latest (3rd), released a few months ago. The guitars on it do remind me a bit of Wedding Present though, apparently they were listening a lot to The Bends while recording the album. |
"Baby, You're Full of Shit" ;):D
Now playing: ![]() |
Fuck!! Wormrot - Hiss. It's grindcore. It has caused me to go on a monumental grindcore kick. How did I overlook this most entertaining genre for like....all my life?

And Low recently covered the shortest song ever, Napalm Death's "You Suffer", live. |
![]() Yesterday, while cleaning my new (previously owned) couch. Such a banger. |

Found the exact quote: "I want to say this first of all: After much deliberation and meditation and listening and spending time, my religion is rock. I've decided that the greatest album of all time is Wire, 154. Yeah. That's not even a top-20 band, but that's the greatest album. I listened to it again the other day, and it's the most intelligent, rewarding-with-repeated-listenings albums that I... it just never fails." Wire is a top-20 band for me, but I'll take it. :) |

![]() https://therealdjbacon.bandcamp.com/...cc-a1238087777 I'm not the biggest fan of remixes & mashups usually, but they did a mighty fine job here! |

![]() The Molendinar from Solas by Claire M Singer after listening to this interview by her, in which amongst others she explains the origins of that composition:Molendinar Burn in Glasgow. However I didn't listen to the album version, but my recording from 2017 :) and after that, the main act of that evening: Low Live at Westerkerk (Organ Reframed) on 2017-10-16 and Low Live at Union Chapel (Organ Reframed) on 2017-10-14 only the last two songs, those were so magical/majestic Will the Night > Do You Know How to Waltz? |
I had this fragment of a Vic Chesnutt song in my head, couldn't figure out which song it was. Had to do some digging on archive.org:
Worst Friend In The World Now I'm listening to some more Vic, with the best band he ever had: Vic Chesnutt Live at 40 Watt Club on 2009-11-02 |
