It’s part of a series of compilations, like the other Switched On releases, but it has some unreleased stuff on it and it’s really good, so whatever :) |

-- anyway, now listening to this peculiar thing ![]() well not in vinyl form. but that orange looks amazing. see here: https://editionrecords.com/releases/...t-wait-for-me/ which i found in a jazz playlist it's pretty mellow and nothing crazy and i really like her voice. it's got some interesting production also. she's got other bands i'll be looking for. see: https://laurenkinsella.com/ https://player.vimeo.com/video/337775695 https://player.vimeo.com/video/337775695 can't find in the usual spots though eta: found 4 snowpoet albums in apple music variously filed under "ambient" "vocal jazz" and "jazz" cant find her solo stuff right now but maybe it will materialize eventually |

Wire went from Pink Flag to Chairs Missing to 154 in three. And they're ALL A+, 10/10, five-star albums. OK Macintosh is overrated donkeydongs. |
Not sure what's larger, your hateboner for Radiohead or your loveboner for essentially any woman between 18 and 90.
Anyway...last night I relistened to Have a Nice Life's 2008 classic Deathconsciousness. It's not an all-time great like some zoomers say, but it's pretty good for what it is and I like the vibe. ![]() |

cmon kid a, this is a party--please be fun at it? no? :( here's a great little jonathan glazer video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1uYWYWPc9HU yes it was good. not everyone has to like it ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ - plus i like this cover for the evening chillout https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FTtTzoM_HlY it's really a decent little melody |
Been listening to this compilation during a long drive yesterday - it's called 'Alterity'. Totally mind blown about what I heard. I'm not that into this fringe cutting-edge mindfuck electronics, but this is really something else.
It's mostly leaning towards afrofuturism, complex polyrythms, etc. Very interesting. ![]() |

Link to that playlist: https://www.electronicbeats.net/top-...n-houndstooth/ I'll try it lateron perhaps, but usually it's not my kind of music This one looks interesting though, I'll definitely try it out: https://www.electronicbeats.net/okky...-solstice-mix/ |

Yeah, Pink Flag was already brilliant. Pablo Honey is just truly embarrassing. |

see: https://ra.co/dj/33emybw the other one that got my attention was the ugandan... slikback. eta he's actually kenyan but works out of kampala where apparently there's an important music scene. https://slikback.bandcamp.com/album/- |
![]() Diane Cluck - "Original Face" Beautiful new short track by Diane. Commissioned by Melodie Provenzano for her exhibition Seeing Oneself in Others at the Nancy Margolis Gallery in NYC in 2020. The show featured six sculptures by artists Jae Yong Kim, Matthew McCaslin, Shari Mendelson, Michelle Segre, Arthur Simms, and Jeanne Tremel, and the paintings Provenzano made of those sculptures from direct observation. The song's title is drawn from "Show me your original face before your mother and father were born"--a Zen Koan included in Melodie's notes around the show's theme. (melodieprovenzano.com) Features wordless vocals, for the people around here who hate lyrics. :D |
![]() This is so fucking good. |
![]() this is a SY covers EP by Situations: https://situationsmke.bandcamp.com/album/sonic-youth-ep some are good, some less ;) actually upon second time listeining, most are very good ! |

You're so fuckin' special. OKC is a fucking masterpiece. PH isn't. That was my point. |
Anyway, Beck - Sea Change.
|
Stones - Sticky Fingers.
Fuck! I have decided that this really is the best Stones album. |
Quote:
Yeah, no, I got that. My point was that other bands have gone from masterpiece to different masterpiece from the start and in a shorter period of time (off the toppa my head: Roxy Music), and that OK IBM ain't no masterpiece but overrated donkeydongs. We both made our points clear, bruvver. :D Quote:
EXTREMELY difficult to say... Everything from Beggars Banquet to Exile On Main St, can't live without. My vote goes to Exile, but take the other three away from me and I'll kill myself. |
