*working through David Bowie's discography over the course of the month - The Man Who Sold the World last night, Hunky Dory coming up tonight

Turns out...i forgot to switch back to 33 1/3 RPM for this one after a 45 RPM, so I may need to re-listen soon.

tw2113 09.04.2020 02:06 AM

that said, I'm presently listening to a curated randomized list of videos I've shared via one of my domains, over at https://apiratelifefor.me/video/

Just refresh for a new video. Presently 137+ videos as some refreshes will have multiple at a time.

This is one has some cool moments, but beers into pretty emo-y territory too. Not sure exactly how I feel about it, but some parts are great.

Wreckless Eric & Amy Rigby - Vote That Fucker Out

I’ve had enough of this
I wanna scream and shout
One thing keeps going through my head
We gotta vote that fucker out

Nearly four years of this shit
There isn’t any doubt
The only way to end this misery
We gotta vote that fucker out

I never want to see his stupid face again
I never want to hear his name
Except for January 2021
When I yell shame shame shame
Goodbye

You may not have a dog in this race
But that ain’t what it’s all about
It’s the devil you can work with or the devil you hate
C’mon and vote that fucker out
Vote that fucker out
We gotta vote that fucker out
Let's go!

Get it from Bandcamp - "all proceeds from purchase of this track will be donated to the ACLU".

They do seem to think liberals are the enemy that conservatives actually are. Not sure how or when that happened, but it’s not safe to say liberal anymore and assume you’ll be understood.

The sad thing is that performative young radicals, cosplaying as Marxists, are closer to 'radical liberals' than they realise. All the rights-based idealism of liberals, just with a performatively radical veneer and an adherence to the more up to date lingo and social justice issues re: race and especially gender. They'll fold and end up being the strongest pro-Biden supporters, because Trump apparently = fascism... they're just being bratty at the moment. Soon it'll be 'vote Biden and we'll "push him leftward"'.

Kuhb 09.10.2020 09:52 PM

Anyway, back the the music talk!
