I'm seeing Lightning Bolt this saturday and Mogwai next friday! I'll let you know how both of those go, if you haven't seen LB before prepare to get blown the fuck away, ESPECIALLY in their hometown.

_slavo_ 09.10.2008 05:32 AM

Some nice pack of gigs there, fugazifan!!!

I'll be seeing the following concert in close future soon:

Definitely:
- A Silver Mt.Zion (Bratislava)
- Animal Collective (Bratislava)
Hopefully not -because that would mean I didn't make it to Vietnam which I'm planning for November:
- Lightning Bolt (Vienna)
- Mogwai (Vienna)

i was also thinking of flying home to catch the provi bolt/usaisamonster gig. thatll be a monster of a show, everyone knows that the bolt is the best live band on the planet right now, but not everyone knows that usaisamonster is sometimes just as if not more ferocious of a live band then them at times.

The last time USAISAMONSTER came here, I was so badly out of commission from jaw surgery I couldn't even get up, let alone go... :( some friends got me some stuff, though.

You mean December, right? At that 20th anniversary thing of Rise Above records.
They were so awesome yesterday. Justin Oborn has become a total fatty nowadays and playing 3 songs of that last album was a bit much maybe, but Supercoven, Funeralopolis and Return Trip more than made up for it. Majestic.

Bollocks_to_Pop 09.14.2008 12:45 AM

9/30 - MBV
10/3 - Sigur Ros
10/16 - Dead C and Six Organs of Admittance (don't have the ticket yet, but I'm going no matter what)

Hopefully Sunburned on one of their Nor Cal shows.

Yeah, I really don't like "Witchcult Today" at all. "Total fatty"? Ha ha ha! Still, I am really looking forward to the Rise Above night.
