That's cool. What kind of band were you in? Yeah, this version is amazing. I love what Su Tissue does with her voice. Part aloof, part crazed cartoon character. There are only a few who can pull that off. She absolutely aced it. |

It's a perfect relaxing listen if you need to get shit done in time. I was writing a paper at the time whilst coming down with the winter blues and feeling like it's gonna be rubbish anyway. So any glimpse of summery optimism was very welcome. And Getz/Gilberto provided me with that. I agree that it's not season appropriate. But it was certainly appropriate to my situation at the time. Sorry for the late answer. Didn't see your response until now |

I don’t even like Radiohead that much, so weird thing to say. I’d probably just be like, “No, that’s shit, that’s shit, that’s shit...” Seriously, I’ve been a Radiohead fan, but I actively resent at least half of their music at this point for not being anywhere near as good as the other half. Weirdo. You’d make a good pedophile! |

Come on now. That's pretty personal for discussion on matters of taste Even if you think it's off base that is taking things too far. I've known that man too long to stand for that on his behalf. His taste is incredible and his knowledge is deep, open and informed. anyway, right now I'm listening to Jimmy McGriff - Mean Machine. apart from one clunker, an unnecessary jazz funk cover of Get Back (seriously I never need to hear any more Beatles music for the rest of my life), a totally solid record that should be a lot more expensive than what I paid for it. |

What? I was just kidding. Someone mentioned pedophilia, I kept the volley going. IDGAF and don’t think GD is a pedo, and I like his taste in music for the most part |
I didn't see where the discussion started on the previous page until now. Now I get it.
|
It's because claire is a minor and porky suggested her and severian would make a good couple. Severian then redirected the insult towards porky, satirizing pork's initial accusation which was in jest to begin with

Man, I didn't even realise who choc e-Claire was until you made the paedo comment. I had to go trough her posts to find out. Man, you ought to chill a bit when you're in need for bit of Radiohead revisionism and someone satirises on it. Has Kanye West not got any new albums out yet? |
You boring twat.
|
Also, you dumb idiot, it would take a quick search through my posts to quickly understand I am a gay man who has no interest in fucking children and LOVES music. Obviously you must have been busy re-reading your own crap about how Ben Frost or Lil Wayne are worth a shot when nobody gives a shit.

Guys, give it a break.
What Doc said is 100% right: Quote:
This thread's meant to be for discussing what tunes we've been pumping, not whether or not we like touching up teenagers. |

Yeah. Kept the pedo volley going, like I said. Also, GD has always been kind of a dick, even if I think he’s an alright guy. So a) he can bloody well take it, and b) he probably deserves more, having tossed some pretty gnarly insults my way in the past. Good on you for white knightin’ the situation though. ;) |

See? Savage Clone? See this guy? Just begging for it, and I handed it to him gently — and with a compliment. So... Radiohead revisionism? Yeah, I love OKC, Kid A, Hail to the Thief and a lot of chunks from their other albums but if you think I’m some froth at the mouth Radiohead fan, I can’t argue because I don’t care enough. “Myxomatosis” is glorious, Hail to the Thief is their best album, that about the extent of passionate Radiohead stances I have. I love some of it, but it’s weird that you think of me as being a Radiohead guy. And I know you’re trying to poke, but no, Kanye’s dumb hat-wearing/brilliant music-making ass has not put out a new album yet in 2019. |

One guy on Discord mentioned that he wanted to listen to Radiohead and it took all my power to avoid sending a thousand-word history lesson to him. He started with Pablo Honey, and somehow liked it? The Bends is going to blow his mind. But yeah, if you want to have intense arguments about them, I'm your gal. (I'll start: Jonny Greenwood >>> Thom Yorke) |
![]() I am loving this waaaaay too much rn Detroit rules Was kid rock the first rapper to embrace redneck culture? I'm not straight outta Compton, I'm straight out the trailer!! |

Oh my god, you actually took it personally and seriously? You massive, massively stupid person. Again: a) You can take it; and b) You deserve it and worse for being an asshole. Also, who said pesophiles can’t be gay? Homophobic weirdo. You’ve got some sexist shit buried in that big gay head of yours. ... Anyway, it was an IDGAF joke insult I didn’t mean, and I paid you a compliment in the process, so chill and/or fuck off because anyone as insulting as you routinely are should be able to take it. Now. Who wants to talk about Lil Wayne, who has been half dead since 2009? |

I love Pablo Honey, it was the first Radiohead album I listened to, and I fell for it hard. Going through some stuff at the time, and probably relating to the fact I was a teenager. I love it, but it's the kind of love for something that so perfectly encapsulates a period of time in my life. My life in amber, Pablo Honey. The Bends now... my God. One of my all-time favourites, I just LOVE LOVE LOVE the sound of this album, so much I kind of hate them for not making another album that had this same sound. Instead those Oxford twats had to go and be experimental (never mind I didn't hear this album until OK Computer came out). I still enjoy a lot of their other albums, Amnesiac, HTTT, etc, but I kinda lost interest in them after King of Limbs. I heard the first two tracks off A Moon Shaped Pool and couldn't care enough to listen to the rest. |

Bob Mould covered "Send Me A Postcard" on Sunshine Rock (out today). AllMusic: "'Send Me a Postcard'" comes remarkably close to unseating Nirvana's "Love Buzz" as the best Shocking Blue cover ever, a pure blast of rock & roll ecstasy". |

@choc e-Claire yeah, not every band can be like Sonic Youth and put out great albums until they break up- and it's unfortunate they had to break up at all.
I'd give you some rep but I have to spread some around |
