(Which I know Dalton didn't write, but at this point it's her song). I would also link you to the clip in which Sharon Van Etten dedicated "Remembering Mountains" to me... but I still feel it's too personal.

Hell, yes! First Sill, now Dalton. Some great 70s Folk there. Think you might enjoy Shelagh McDonald as well, her voice and her soundscapes are pretty haunting.

Dalton's voice is truly unique. Wonderful stuff.
Judee Sill is great too, but her life story is very bleak.

And Laura Nyro before that. Not a "folk singer", but a singer-songwriter like no other. Little music of any kind, by anyone, ever, make me feel the way Laura does.

Gotta admit that I don't know that much of her music. Listened to a few songs some time ago. Remember liking them. Alright, I've got some catching up to do - I'll put it on my figurative "Gotta listen to that"-list.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen anyone talk about this, but I love this record.

We seem to have a lot of overlapping tastes in indie/rock-type-stuff.

Just out of curiosity, you wouldn’t happen to be a Black Tambourine fan, would you?

It seems so, yeah. I really like em. Throw Aggi Off The Bridge has sort of become a staple during my 90s parties. That type of music perfectly caters to my fuzzy, shoegazy listening sensibilities.

And yeah, it's a good album. I remember some murmurs around Blank Dogs back when this initially came out, but nothing much ever since.

Oh and I thought I'd pipe that in, since we were just discussing them.

I like that album however it isn't their best album. Tbf, you could easily choose any of their first 5 albums and say it's their best. Fuck I love Sabbath.

Theyre one of those bands for me (along with Sonic Youth and Pantera (bite me)) who some days I think "I wanna listen to something like Sabbath but not Sabbath and no band ever comes close. After searching and listening I end up just thinking "fuck it, I'll just listen to some Sabbath)

Still like the debut best, but yeah the first several are all killer. Except for "Changes."
