although I'm only through with a little bit, the book appears to be more about the strange secret life that he left behind (and his death exposed).

I argue with his black fascinations, his theories are sound (and not unlike my own).

the only difference between magic and science is one's perceived level of understanding in the subject. I say perceived because, finite minds can never truly encapsulate the infinite (and that very well could have killed him).

I've never heard of this fella, but I'm definitely interested now.

the book practically demanded that I read it.

there is still a copy floating through the aether my way.

Just finished this:

I saw it in a charity shop and thought it looked interesting. An ok read if you can get past the "sambo" and "blackies" language. Dated.

holy shit, they've got 10 vols of collected stuff on sandman so start with #1, man... "preludes and nocturnes" i think it's called... awesome shit. AWESOME.

the art on that book is not so impressive (for my taste), but the writing is fucking ace...! get #1 and you'll be hooked. he's really great.

i haven't ready any of his straight novels but i hear great reviews-- i have a friend who's never read the comics but she loves his novels.

Almost done with McCarthy's "Child of God". This will be the last of his novels I haven't read. Before that was Faulkner's "Absalom Absalom", next will be Nick Cave's "The Death of Bunny Munro" which I heard was good.

I'll switch back to non-fiction after that.
