Haha thanks, yeah I'm digging what I've heard off of it thus far.
Which of his mixtapes would you reccomend? |
Quote:
Hmm. The only Mixtape of his that I really really liked was FIFTH ELEMENT which he dropped with Whoo Kid as part of the G-Unit Radio series. I have a good stack of his others like Ghost Unit, You Know What It Is 3, etc, etc. And they're usually good, but a little too 48-tracks of snippets for me. But the 3 majors are great. And then his stuff on like Get Low Records etc is certainly worth seeking out, though obviously the production is nowhere near the level that he was able to get ($$$) for the majors. |
Yeah I have L.A.X and now the documentary and love them both. Does Advocate have Dre on any of the beats. He's my favorite producer (yeah.. generic I know).

Nope. Which is part of why the album is so crazy. It's called Doctor's Advocate cuz Dre was supposed to produce the whole thing. Then Dre backed out. Lots of weird rumors and in-fighting plus The Game leaves G-Unit. So anyway, he keeps the title, gets other producers, and mentions Dre about a million times on the album. Including a track that's pretty much Busta Rhymes just begging Dre to call The Game and forgive him. It's so weird and fascinating. But anyway, the production won't let you down either. All the other producers really deliver, including an amazing standout by Will.I.Am believe it or not. Get it next. Trust me. You'll love it. |

It is stunning, and a candidate, but I actually personally prefer A Ghost is Born, which would definitely be in my top 5 for the decade... |

How is this? I'm looking to get some live Buckley, but there's a lot to sift through. Is Dream Letter as good as I've heard? |

Dream letter is brilliant, one of best live albums ever in my opinion. The Peel sessions are great too, if you can find a copy at least. |

I definitely think that Iron Flag is the WORST Wu-Tang group album. |

There are some great Chavela Vargas songs on this album - 'La Llorona' stands out. Lila Down's stuff is great as well |

of course! It's not nearly as good as NO SAID DATE though. It's alright, but just not even close to that level. Though there is a DOOM produced track, which is nice (even if you've already heard the beat). |
I sold my copy of the regular version to a friend for $5 and picked up:
![]() also got this for 6 bucks while I was at it: ![]() |
