okay, i had a turkey roll with ham and curry in mushroom sauce, served with broccoli, baby carrot and green tagliatelle. yum. just yum.

MellySingsDoom 07.10.2009 02:18 PM

Good choice, sir! Is the restaurant itself a nice place? I imagine that it would be.

al shabbray 07.10.2009 03:09 PM

I only eat toast with peanutbutter and chololate cream. I am feeling pretty...erm unhealthy. and still hungry

yes, it's nice, quite peaceful yet modern. the advantage is that it's located some 5 minutes walking distance from my place so we didn't have to walk far (considering we're living in shit suburbs, it really is an advantage).

btw. melly, i'm having a glass of Becherovka right now. I assume you know this particular drink, don't ya?

SYRFox 07.11.2009 08:07 PM

opinion of the night: dial81 seriously rules and deserves a lot more than 14 listeners on last.fm

i think I really need some time off my girlfriend.
oh my, sometimes i get that feeling that we're together too much and it's slowly getting on my nerves. the problem is she's got no friends of her own in this city, so for vast majority of her spare time, she's dependant on me. and when I'm in a grumpy mood like i was yesterday when the only thing I wanted to do was to read books and play videogames, she's all like "i'm bored and i'm sit here all day and do nothing".
i mean, i like to spend time with her more than anything else, but you know, the weekend had two days and Friday night. On friday night, we went out for dinner and wine and had good time. On Saturday we went out for a hike to the woods, got bitten by 1.000 mosquitos, but surely had great time too. and on Sunday, she's all like I don't care for her.
</rant off>

al shabbray 07.13.2009 03:17 AM

I can feel what you are saying. the problem is how to tell her what you need/want without hurting her saying it.
dont she want some time for herself, too? maybe she is thinking the same but doesnt want it to say for the same reasons as you...
I once had a gf where we both were afraid to tell each other exactly the same and we were both like "why didnt we ask ourselves that earlier" afterwards

no, she does not need any time for herself at all. the thing is, I am her spare time.

al shabbray 07.13.2009 04:05 AM

yeah, it's really a grower. on the first listen i too thought it was just okay, but now i can't get my head out of it. ioio, light#2, bach/1665, coat of arms are massive hits ...

al shabbray 07.13.2009 06:23 AM

^^these are exactly the tracks I love from the album + quest. its just haunting.
its a freind of flying lotus again, isnt it?

the thing is, we talked about it several times before.
but then again, there's nothing much I can do about it ... you can't just tell your girl to go find some friends of her own to spend time with, when you want to be by yourself, right?

al shabbray 07.13.2009 06:32 AM

of course not...
its really difficult.
are you living together in one appartment?

have you heard the new clark ? it's been released today ... it's fantastic. rainbow voodoo kills me.

al shabbray 07.13.2009 07:04 AM

no not yet, but I will youtube rainbow voodoo instantly

edit: omg thats kickin ass!

SYRFox 07.13.2009 07:25 AM

yes! i like the fact that it's totally unpredictable, you never know what's going to happen next, when it's going to explode. The whole album is unpredictable actually... there's like, five or six different sections in the first track. Incredible.

yes, i agree from what Ive heard from voodoo rainbow, it feels like a medley in a good creative way. blastin, would have never expected this kind of style by clark to be honest, really in your face I think

phoenix 07.13.2009 07:43 AM

last night I cleaned out my closet, and today handed in two huge garbage bags full of clothes to charity.

phoenix 07.13.2009 07:44 AM

oh this isn't the post something irrelevant thread.

al shabbray 07.13.2009 07:44 AM

yep. he was already blasting everything on turning dragon, but this is on a whole next level. in my opinion, he's been the most interesting electronica producer since body riddle... i heard he considers body riddle, turning dragon and totems flare as a trilogy, so it kind of makes sense

MellySingsDoom 07.13.2009 07:50 AM

Hi all! Am currently busy at work at the moment, but am leaving earlyish to get to hospital (just a regular check-up, nothing urgent). I had a great (albeit alcohol-fuelled) weekend, and am looking forward to what this week may bring. The weather in London is currently pretty meh, but othewise all is pretty fine :)

phoenix 07.13.2009 07:51 AM

hallo syrf.

al shabbray 07.13.2009 08:19 AM

syrf...thats nice sounding.

btw pheonix, again many many thanks for your html/css help. Im done with that website, now I have to wait till I got some feedback from my prof. I am glad that its done

phoenix 07.13.2009 08:28 AM

no problem :) I don't do much like that anymore.. even though it was simple stuff it still took me a couple minutes :P

al shabbray 07.13.2009 08:43 AM

simple for you, I just started learning, and i am thinkin bout if I should continue with that or not...

yeah, we do live together.
back in the days when we used to live separately, it was easy to just call her "i'm staying home tonight" and to have an evening for just sitting on balcony, reading books and smoking cigarettes, but now it's a different cup of tea.

phoenix 07.13.2009 09:00 AM

why can't you just do that now? aside from smoking being bad for you.

nicfit 07.13.2009 09:18 AM
