it came out 99 or 2000ish. It's basically awesome super-deformed ports of SNK fighting games. It has Capcom Vs SNK Match of the Milenium for one. It's got SNK Gal Fighters. It also has a couple Metal Slug exclusives and a port of Cotton... it was pretty badass actually. It uses a clicky joystick instead of D-Pad and even had a link cable with Dreamcast to unlock characters in various fighting games.

 

woah. looks pretty cool dood. I'm kind of interested in the CvS with pocket fighter's sprites. and Joystick instead of d-pad...quite ahead of it's time. haha. Oh and with the link cable. Does it have any type of remote play liek the PSp does with the Ps3?

there's no remote-play or anything on NGPC and DC. The link cable was really only used to unlock shit on a few SNK fighters. NGPC was a lot like DC -- it was ahead of its time, it had awesome games, it died a quick death in the US, though was supported a bit longer in JPN.

New Age gaming is going to shit. Yeah...we haven't had many exciting games n stuff....but it's not just that. Fucking DLC...and shit like Online Passes from EA n others. For instance, the new Batman. It is said if you buy the game used, you're fucked on getting the bonus Catwoman content, or if you buy any game used, that was published by EA, you have to pay more money for an online pass. Fuck that shit.

yes and no. There's some great games coming out, but they mostly hide in the shadows. Catherine was my favorite game of the year. MvC3 was close. There was Shadows of the Damned, and Suda's working on Lollipop Chainsaw as well...

but yeah. I still play retro shiz a lot more than new shiz.

It really is a rad game. Whenever I play it, it always takes me back to my old doctor's office when I was younger. They had an N64 hooked up in the lobby w/ this game constantly in the console (which was hidden away in a drawer - controllers aside - away from the hands of grubby children like me, of course)

Just NiGHTS into Dreams (w/ 3D controller) so far, since I'm absolutely in love with the Wii sequel and EVERY REVIEW EVER says how much it pales to the original. Neither package has arrived yet.

I was gonna get Corpse Killer: Graveyard Edition too - because it looks like it's oozing w/ B-movie fun factor. But I got a nasty overdraft fee from my bank recently that practically bit my dick off. I'm really excited though, I've never touched a Saturn before in my life.

Anywho, I've been having loads of fun with my SEGA Master System emulator on my Dreamcast. Mostly been playing a lot of Psychic World.

I'd say we have another month or so....

borrowed this from a friend. Beat it in an afternoon. Good game, but way too short/easy. Glad I hadn't spent $30 on it.

Nice. I played Battelfield 2 and after that I wonder why I ever played CoDMW2. Now I want to play Battlefield 3. It's just....so much more fun. and like in everyway possible. A freidn of mine has 3, but he likes 2 a bit more. he says it seems like they're trying to attract more of the CoD crowd, so it's dumbed down a bit. but regardless....Battlefield's environment and multiplayer levels are much...much better than CoD's.

I'm still playing Shining Force. It's so good. I'm playing hte version on the Dreamcast Sega Smash Pack. The music is fucked, but it's fun to play a Sega game on a SEga console.

and Sonic Adventure (DC) is surprisingly better than I ever imagined. Always stayed away from 3D Sonic games.

AND Puyo Pop Fever (PSP) -- Euro import. Puyo games rule, so obviously this one does too.

ahh yeah Sonic Adventure on DC. I remember having the demo. But it was only the first level where you are urban snowboarding through a level. It was fun enough to have me play it over and over again. I never did get to play the actualy game though...

Oh and NR. I also recommended a friend who just recently got into retro gaming to that site. He loves it so far. I'm not sure if he's registered to the forums though.

I'm pretty sure the demo yr talking about it Sonic Adventure 2. I have the demo for SA2 (it came with Phantasy Star Online) and played through the demo level (which had snowboarding) and loved it so much I decided to buy the first SA so I could play through it before the second one.

Call of Duty is ok, but it's just goofy arcade shit. Battlefield is way more insane. I loved BF2 too....you should get Battlefield 3, it's awesome. I'm krastian on xbox live hit me up. Gotta love tanks.....too blasted to write more.

If you ask what people are playing tomorrow, I think you'll know the answer to that.

Then I still need to DL MvC2, Limbo, and Bomberman Ultra.

After that I'll start with HD remakes...Ico/SotC and then the Metal Gear games.

Then next on the list will be the next gen games...which so far I can't really DL since Dark Souls requires an update.
