Heh. You could have gotten it from me eventually for less than your winning bid, had you refrained from bidding. Dummkopf! :D

Just got the Australian orange Dirty LP with the printed cloth bag (red hands, blue letters) and found nothing about Waterfront nor Augogo, but "Manufactured and distributed in the US" and "Printed in Australia" and the catalog number "DGC-24485" … is it a bootleg or pieced together by the seller?

mine is the same but it does have Waterfront printed on the cloth above the edition of 1000 stamp.

Mine is the same too -- and was one of the many many questions, additions and corrections (to numerous to post/list here) I have for Chris. Good to hear that AuGoGo/Waterfront is not on the sleeve/vinyl -- was thinking I got duped with receiving regular issue in a bag someone found. . .

There are also several different versions -- green with red hands -- vice versa and black with red hands -- vice versa!

krischanski 06.06.2011 04:56 AM

I bought this dubious Murray Street EPK VHS, but the tape is empty. Does something like an EPK for this album exist?

nicfit 06.06.2011 05:23 AM

It *should" exist, I think the files have been floating around the web at the time....there are still some traces online

http://youandianddominoes.wordpress....et-epk-online/

but the youtube vids are set to "private" or sumthin'....

Chris Lawrence 06.06.2011 05:57 AM

there's this stuff...

http://70.32.78.35/symu/sonic-fpvids...lassic/page/3/

i don't remember ever seeing this!

nicfit 06.06.2011 06:50 AM

yep! guess that's the one, the 3 snippets are 7 mins long, and the total would be close to the 22' stated in the vhs tape running time...
Aaaaah, the times when streaming video HAD to be that lame looking-sounding ;) hehe....

p.s. krischanski , that site of yours is annoyingly great :D!

krischanski 06.06.2011 09:17 AM

So it actually should be the same as the Mini-doc by Chris Habib, I linked on my site ...

I will try to watch the VHS really analogously via an old TV set. (I only have a bad PCI card in my computer, which could not handle the mixed signal out of the NTSC cassettes in my PAL recorder ...)

Sorry, accidentally deleted it (note to self: multiple FileZilla tabs on a slow terminal is a bad idea). Uploaded it to dimeadozen.org, will start the FTP re-upload soon(ish).

musicplatypus 06.07.2011 01:32 PM

I have this Murray Street EPK . . . did everyone find what they are looking for?

I can take a look at it (been years since I've watched it). There is an interview or the band talking about the album -- I know that much.

Probably old hat to everyone here but me:
The "Live USA" bootleg is the same as the "100% Live" and "splitting The Atom" bootlegs - i.e, the 12/14/92 London show as broadcast by auntie Beeb - but with the tracks shuffled around.

Obsessive completists can look forward to a torrent of it soon(ish).

nicfit 08.03.2011 04:32 PM

"In Australia "Jet Set" came w/ a free DGC promo sampler called "Griller 2" which contained "Sweet Shine"."

nicfit 08.03.2011 05:40 PM

Sorry, I was just behaving like an ass.....

krischanski 08.05.2011 08:04 AM

I got this ugly bootleg and recognized that the recording from Roskilde 1998 plays too fast. The voices sound nearly funny.

Yeah, the interview with Steve "Donald Duck" Shelley is great.

I seeded a speed-corrected version a long time ago, but (although far better than the original) it still is very slightly too fast.

Wish I had it now--though, I'd have worn it to death and it'd probably be a tattered mess.

stu666 08.13.2011 07:39 AM

Australian Promo?

Mr.K 08.18.2011 02:50 PM

Are images for the Harry Crews album needed? I have two copies on cassette,of which one is sealed. I could make scans if needs be?

krischanski 08.24.2011 03:26 AM

Au-Go-Go lists the (silver bag edition of) Bad Moon Rising and Evol as from 1988.

Don't think so, http://www.colorfilm.com/contact/ seems pretty legit.

yes, I got another copy, and it does contain the three films of the Murray Street mini-doc, separated by 30 seconds of nothing
