Aw damn. I want to put that shit in my ear holes. Much better title than the mix I created. (Disk mention I was referring to a playlist I'd made myself? Not on Spotify or iTunes, but through that age old practice of inserting one's CD's into one's Mac, and carefully clicking and dragging. A process that requires extreme precision and stamina ;))
I love listening to these two go at it. I would rather listen to two incredible emcees from neighboring zip codes battle over the course of years than skip through "west coast" tracks to get to the " east coast" shit. Nas V. Jay is a far more interesting feud than whatever the fuck Tupac and Dre were so pissed at that they stopped making badass gangsta rap and started sounding like they wanted attention more than they wanted to be rappers. NR - where do I find them shits anyway? While I believe I already have all the released feud material, this sounds like it has some rarities- live performances at the very least- as well. Is this correct? |
yeah it's got some mixtape and radio sessions too. Just google it. It's a common mix actually.
|
Well, then Google I will. I need to spend more time fucking around on the Internet, anyway.
And I need to listen to more mixes, and mix tapes. Ever since mix tapes stopped being actual tapes, I kinda tuned out. I think I may have missed a hip hop track or two as a result. |
sev, datpiff.com is yr friend. :D And blogs of course.

do you guys like Riff Raff?
|
i'm looking forward to his deubt. he has mad potential imo. it would be awesome if Drake put him on and helped him blow up on the mainstream like he did with Rocky and Kendrick.

i'm serious bro. he's funny as hell and his hook game is on another level.
this was the catchiest song of 2012: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T3xU0h92FN8 |
Riff Raff said he doesn't do drugs.
|
nope. i just listen to what i like. i don't take music so seriously like that anyway. when i was younger i used to be a punk and only listen to bands who actually stood for something. now i'm like fuck that. i'll listen to Rihanna and LMFAO if i like it.
|
on another note, "The Love Below" is such a classic. amazing album.
|
i really like club music. and dumb music. i listen to it at home for fun, don't even have to go clubbing. :p it is what it is.
|
i think solely listening to Sonic Youth, Nirvana, Pavement, Pixies, Dino Jr, etc (all incredible bands) gets boring at some point. i just need to experiment with my taste all the time.
wish i could make music though. i have some crazy ideas in my head sometimes. plus it's a great tool to express emotions which you can't describe in words. |
![]() dropping tomorrow. i can't wait. Krizzle never disappoints with his tapes. |
asskiss, did you check out the new Justin Timberlake? every song is about how much he likes some girl, and there is no epic break-up ballad this time (a la Cry Me a River or What Goes Around/Comes Around). cool album though.

|
![]() http://www.jcolemusic.com/us/news/do...y-night-lights this will always be one of my fav mixtapes. just a cool normal dude pouring his heart out into the mic, while also happening to be damn good at it. |
new Ghostface dropped today but I didn't get a chance to pick it up. :(
