NR, i'm in love with Big Sean's new tape. all og prod. possibly my fav rap project of the year so far after Life Is Good. and i didn't even like his latest album that much besides a few tracks. it's dope as fuck.

i just didn't like the few tracks in the middle (6-9) with the wack r&b hooks. i replaced them with the bonus tracks, which all happen to be album worthy material, and now it's the rawest album ever to me. that 2nd verse on "Stay" is too fucking real. i'd also recommend you to get "Trust" which is like the 20th track on the iTunes japanese deluxe edition or something, pifftastic.

and you're right, it's so mature. rapidly turning out to be my 2nd or 3rd fav album he ever made. it's amazing to see his development from Illmatic to this.

i'm afraid Cruel Summer is gonna be even more divisive than 808's. i mean, people were expecting collabs with Q-Tip and Mos Def, at last we got 2 Chainz and Chief Keef. with that said, i like it a lot, like every other project Kanye has ever been involved in. it surprises me that Cyhi actually spits some of the best verses on the album. now that i think about it, i like his verse on So Appalled too.

well, Sister and Daydream Nation are absolute classics, two of my fav albums ever. i also find A Thousand Leaves and Murray Street beautiful. Washing Machine is really cool. Sonic Nurse rocks. their early stuff - Confusion Is Sex, Bad Moon Rising and EVOL are all fucking great. what else? oh yeah, Trees Outside the Academy is a total gem.

Rather Ripped and The Eternal aren't bad by any means, but they got old after a couple of weeks. :(
though i think they've never made an album where i don't like at least a few songs.

Beyoncé - 4 and Frank Ocean - Channel Orange have been on heavy rotation here lately.

i thought they were good when they just came out, but now i finally realize they're great.

haven't nabbed Channel Orange yet, but the song Ocean did on the VMA's was amazing. I liked Nostalgia Ultra a lot too.

the more years go by, the more I think Kingdom Come is a better album than I originally did.

ok, so I love Cruel Summer. Seriously. Great album. I mean maybe not Dark Twisted / Watch The Throne great. But great regardless. "Mercy" is easily my favorite hip hop single of the year.
