I had a day off, it felt like summer, and when summer comes, the Minutemen Double Nickel on the Dime fits quite well.

I saw Shellac 2 nights ago; Helen Money opened for them and covered Political Song for Michael Jackson to Sing, which prompted me to listen to the original.

Wasting Light

I know, as with King Of Limbs and a lot of other stuff, I essentially missed the entirety of 2011, and have just barely been catching up with all the albums that came out last year. After rekindling my love affair with Dave Grohl's music through Them Crooked Vultures, I thought I'd give it a chance. Not bad, but the same damn thing I always thought about Foo Fighters, Dave, why the fuck don't just play the drums? It is a shame to have a lesser drummer play drums on one of the all-time best drummer's albums, and then to have one of the all-time best drummers playing mediocre guitar. what a waste of potential. I have enjoyed some foo fighters over the year, but that brother should just stick to drumming. When I first heard them crooked vultures, I knew nothing of them, but I instantly recognized Dave Grohl's drumwork. I even tolerated Queens of the Stoneage for the same reason.. Dave should Phil Collins it up in Foo Fighters and play drums.

Dave Grohl could conceivably salvage his reputation by shutting his mouth completely and being a session drummer for promising up and comers and side projects of worthy repute. Much like Steve Shelley has done.

His Foo work has only served to induce cringes in Nirvana fans since 1997. They are the Wings to Nirvana's Beatles.

i know that's a controversial opin, but while i love the singles and a bunch of other songs, Stankonia isn't even one of my fav Kast projects. i also prefer Sir Lucious.

This is still the most I've ever paid for a record. It wasn't released in the UK originally so I had to buy an import copy and it cost me £16. This was 1985 when an LP probably cost about £3.99. It was worth every penny.
