Is hotfile the best place to upload large files these days? Hate trying to find sites to upload 500mb+ zips to but I finally have a really fast connection so I can upload a lot from the archives.

I like WeTransfer best - 2 GB limit, and a lovely zen interface.

Correct. What are storage times of other services? Any one that stands out in this respect?

Yeah, that's my problem with it. Maybe ok for posting here but not long term for a blog. Though even hotfile is only 90 days.

also keep an eye on my new blog which I hope to add more shows to soon. I also need to work out which file sharing host I'm going to use so the links will be permanent.

SendSpace. Files can remain there indefinitely as long as they keep being downloaded at least once a month. The uploader him/herself can be on top of things and know when it's time to download them again in order to keep them alive, since they e-mail you a warning when your files are one week away from expiring.

The file size limit is 300MB, but if you want to upload something bigger you can split it and put all parts in the same folder, which keeps your shit neatly and niftily organized under one single link. For all of this, you need the SendSpace Wizard program.

">" usually indicates "continuous performance" from one track to the next.

Bombino
2012/09/18
The Mint, Los Angeles, CA

This band is lead by Omara "Bombino" Moctar, who lead the Group Bombino on their Guitars from Agadez, Vol. 2 LP from Sublime Frequencies, and has a new LP, Agadez under his own name. Tuareg soul rebel / desert blues / tribal rock from Niger/Mali nomads. Opens acoustic, changes to electric, some near-reggae moments, some very fine long instrumentals.

cool i'm gonna check it out. the first album has bad sound quality and the second is more restrained than the live show so this could fill a gap
