lots of classic rock, quality used vinyl, superclean, tons of old 7" singles, some decent punk stuff, lots of clasic metal and of course the latest thick reissues of all this stuff. i wish i had more money |
yep. the old dudes that run it are realy cool.
plus you can get 45 adapters there, and all sorts of record care stuff. needles, turntable drive belts, etc. some of the stuff is pricey but it is the original issue stuff. went to cambrdige on saturday and hit three record stores with the last being the famous twistd village.
first went to that place cant remember the name of, but it has a great selection of jazz of all types and some proto punk and garage, also an impressive reggae section heavy on dub. picked up art ensemble of chicago "les stances a sophie" dvd and the first last exit disc on vinyl. next was "in your ear", which has the distinction of vaing the most vinyl in such a small space ive ever seen. got a shitload of dollar vinyl, two groundhogs albums, and killed by death 3. then finally to twisted vilage. i had already spent a shitload of money so i knew i was going to get noise casettes and thats it. luckily, had a massive stack of RRRecycled casettes for $2.50, got evil moisture, sickness, and crank sturgeon rrrcycleds and cock esp compilation casette with some tracks i havnt heard yet. not to mention got some new pais of levis. treated myself big time. |

sudden infant-ear wash (does anyone agree hes one of the best noiser artists all around? just such well composed and thought out tracks with lots of sounds you typically never heard on harsh noise tracks such as strange whstling sounds and sci fi keyboards etc.., but still waaaaaaay harsh and disorienting, most people on here would know him for the track he did with lee on maelstrom from drift last year)
before that listened morton feldman's "chamber music" which got me in the mood for graveyards since they are like a sick combo of free improv, noise, and musique concrete/chamber tunes. awesomke band, olson man. |
Boris is so heart.
