just put on
for the first time in a while |
|
I just listened to the whole piece, 6 hours long..(The Flaming Lips - Found a star on the ground)
It was fantastic..I got pretty emotional at the ending..brilliant!!! :D |
6 fucking hours in one sitting? Were you doing anything else??
|
Yup!
Well, I started it when I woke up.. It was on all the time when I had breakfast, did some other shit (fixing with my other computer etc..), cleaned, worked out, made food, ate, read a little etc...so basically the soundtrack of this day. But it was good so I had no problems with it. |

Danny shits on Goblin lyrically. his album has a lot of similar subject matter, but it's a lot more mature and complete NR, i highly recommend you to check it out. |

I will do so -- I totally trust yr opinion since I feel like you know my taste now! :) |
wow, i almost forgot about this album. one of my all-time favs! |

fucking rep'd. |
Danny Brown's subject matter doesn't seem terribly similar to Tyler the Creator's to me. Either way, XXX is the best album of 2011 for sure.

OK OK I'll get it! |

Apart from NaTaS' Doubelievengod, I'd say this is my fav. hip-hop album of all-time |

the original electronic version is so smooth, sounds much better than the re-released rock version with the misplaced drums all over every track. |
DJ Yo-Yo Dieting's Dormant Mirrors Cassette. Seriously, this is so fucking fantastic. For fans of trance inducing noisy breaks and chopped and screwed with pop rap samples. |

Esham's my favorite emcee of all-time! lol :o If you haven't already, check out Closed Casket or KKKill the Fetus - might change your opinion indefinitely. Seriously those are fucking killer, the black devil in his absolute peak. I agree though, NaTaS would be HUGE right now. When Odd Future was blowin' up, I couldn't help but think "Wow, didn't NaTaS pretty much do this 15 years ago?" I'm surprised someone else on here has even heard Doubelievengod before. THAT'S SERIOUSLY FUCKING NUTS. Especially someone outside of Detroit. I've been trying to get noiseredux into Doubelieveingod and Life After Death for well over a year now - but he's a lazy good-for-nothin'. Quote:
ASP got me into their album Bubblethug a while back, but I haven't bothered looking into anything else by them/him/whatever. That album art is incredible though. |
Exile on Main Street- Rolling Stones
A cure for the blues I hope |
@DrEugene: Great call on Bitches Brew -- that album is mind-blowing.

well, being an ex-Feminem stan, it wasn't hard for me to find out about his little "rivals" around that time.. and NaTaS, along with Cage were the biggest surprise of them all. tbh i don't think Esham was even my fav mc in the group - all of the three were pretty sick! speaking of Cage, his 1st album is so special.. one of the bleakest acts i've ever heard in hip-hop. the perfect soundtrack to a totally FUCKED UP, drugged out teenager. anyway, you guys just brought me back to highschool... big love for them dark lyrics over smooth sounds. :) |
