![]() Thought I'd just give a quick mention to Derren Litten, the writer behind Benidorm, probably my favourite sitcom for a while, now (even if it did go rapidly downhill in the third series). ![]() |

Do you not think Karl's schtick is getting a tad tired? At first I thought it was brilliant but man is that act getting old. |

yes i cant listen to him that much anymore. but thats the same of a lot of people, if i watch or listen too much then it gets a bit stale. i find if i take a break from it then when i listen again its just as funny. i suppose nothing is as funny the second time around. |
Sometimes things are funnier the second time. There's all kinda funny.

I must say when i made this thread I didnt realise comedy had become the repository of rape-jokes and general scum. It makes me yearn for the days when those scumbags formed NuMetal bands instead.

One of the funniest RHLSTP episodes yet.

Louis CK, Patton Oswalt, Jim Gaffigan
I don't love them all equally. Jim Gaffigan is the most likeable by far. Patton Oswalt is probably the most hit-and-miss but he has some great observations. Louis CK is my favourite. No comedian has made me laugh as loud or as long as him. I think he's brilliant. And unsurprisingly with brilliant people, he's a little messed up. I don't know if I wish for him to come back to comedy, because I'm afraid it'll be some neutered version that will just be embarassing for everyone. |
I hope Louis doesn't come back. He's pretty reprehensible.
Do yourselves a favor & catch Robin Thede on BET. Her monologues are great! |

My new favorite is Emmy Blotnick. I haven't run across her comedy central mini special but I hope she does more. I've only seen youtube clips.
I can't get enough awkward, enthusiastic female comedians. I don't find that many male comics funny these days. (Maybe patton Oswalt?) |
